Dropship Horrizon has a picture of the upcoming Marrok battlesuit. This thing is big and looks fantastic. It reminds me of some Warhounds I just sold off. I wonder how it will compare size wise to the ARC Fleet Walker.

Meh....it's too obviously a warhound, same leg articulation, same carapace, same ridge.....very unimaginative....which is really odd given the rest of the ranges

Demonetrigan I think you'll find the Leg articulation is carried through all the Protolene walkers from the Protolene themselves which have canted legs.

The carapace and armour design is also carried forward from the infantry and the ridge bears reference to the ruft.

You have drawn a quick comparison without considering the Protolene range as a whole, and without seeing the rest of the protolene vehicle range. You are entitled to do so, but I will tell you you are wrong.

certainly agree on the articulation but the carapace and particularly the head jut make it look like a warhound.

Just popped over to the Forgeworld website to take a gander at the Imperial Warhound. While dog-like in appearance, that is where the similarity to the Marrok Battlesuit ends. The heads look dissimilar as do the carapaces. The Warhound does not have a ridge atop its carapace. The Warhound's head is partially concealed/protected by the overhang of its carapace whereas the Marrok's head is fully exposed. Overall, the Marrok stands on its own as a design and it is a MUCH better looking vehicle than the Warhound, if I do say so myself. Can't wait to get one(several )

The old Epic Warhounds did have ridges on their backs. The new Warhounds don't. That said, I still love the look of these new walkers and can not wait for their release.

Hi all. I am new here and this is my first post.
First of all, English is not my mother language so i am sorry for grammer and typing mistakes.
I am watching Critical mass games for a time and the stuff u have made until now is really amazing. Especially the Arcfleet range.
I also like the Protolone Infantery and the new released Combat walker for them. The whole stuff u have made until now looks really like modern scfi stuff (the tanks suits walker etc.) but this marrok battlesuit looks really like the old amourcast warhound and i am sorry but i must say that i don t like it.I have seen the Amourcast warhound yesterday by a frind of mine and this thing looks really like old school scfi pulp. And the Head of the Marrok look espacially like old sifi pulp. I mean why does it have to look like a dogface? i mean human ingeneers dosen t give their battlemechs a human face or does they? I think the Marrok would look much better when it have a cockpit desigend for war not for show off.The same for the comb on the top of it. i mean the Ayame walker have a modern looking why should u go for the bigger mechs in design things backwards.
I hope i could set my point clear and that this will be understand as a constructional criticism.

I thank you for reading (listening)

You are certainly entitled to your opinion Defaint_2K but all i can really say to you now is that the renders on DH do not do this model justice, and all the vehicles in Protolene range are themed towards the Protolene and their background where everything has its place for a reason (which will become apparent in time).

Lets take the legs for example, each on is in 4 parts allowing for flexible posing. (note the pictures below show what will be the metal components of the Marrok, legs, and shoulder joints).

What ever we design we will always have those who love it and those that hate it, criticism is just part of the course and helps us tighten up on our future projects.

Thanks

Craig
